Q. Will my car be delivered right to my front door of my new home?

A. Most car delivery companies offer door to door transportation service, however many homes are not reachable to auto shipping companies because the 9 car transport carriers they use are unable to get down their street for one of four reasons:
1. Overhead power lines. Usually there is plenty of clearance but not always.
2. Too sharp a turn for the auto shipping truck to make.
3. Too steep a drive way or hill.
4. Dirt, gravel, or muddy, unpaved roads can lead to auto shipping carriers getting stuck.
Other reasons that may prevent door-to-door car delivery:
1. You live in a new developement and the roads leading up to your home are not yet listed on standard maps or gps navigation systems.
2. It is night and would be easier for you and the car delivery driver to inspect your vehicle in a shopping center that has bright lights in the parking area.
3. Saving time by having the car delivery company meet you in a shopping center instead of having them search for your home and possibly getting lost.

If door-to-door service is important to you be sure to tell your auto shipping company, and mention any considerations that could prevent the auto transport carriers from reaching your home.
Remeber sometimes finding an alternate location (such as a mall) that is near your home can save the auto transporter time and get you your automobile faster.
